Composites software packages support development of electric automobile

A German carmaker selects the software for its flagship model.

Dassault Systèmes has announced that German automaker BMW used its CATIA Composites applications to develop its lightweight and emission-free i3 electric car.

French plastics show expects sharp rise in exhibitors

“Utilizing composite structures gives vehicle manufacturers the innovation space they need to create new mobility experiences while meeting ever more stringent regulatory targets,” said Philippe Laufer, CEO, CATIA, Dassault Systèmes.
