Russia’s Polidin to launch new PC sheet plant

  A Russian company is due to launch the first phase of a new plant to produce polycarbonate sheet in the southern region of Krasnodar of Russia in August 2015, according to regional media reports.
Polidin, based in Kazan in the Russian semi-autonomous republic of Tatarstan, is set to invest a total of €8.2m on the 10,000 tpa PC extrusion facility in the city of Dinskaya. The first stage, which is already under construction, is expected to reach a production capacity of 3,750 tpa next year, the local authority there is quoted as stating.
In a second construction phase, Polidin plans to raise the plant output by the end of 2015 to more than 10,000 tpa.
Plant construction is being handled by the company Slavatak which is reported to be an investor in the project.
