Sintex commences its LRTM/VARTM facility at Pune plant

This production facility will cater to large size composite products especially for farming and mining equipment, commercial vehicles and mass transit vehicles.

The facility was established with direct technology transfer from its US subsidiary Sintex Wausaukee Composite which already caters to the likes of Catpillar, John Deere, Siemens, New Flyer, Alstom, CNH across various market segments like industrial trucks and tractors, medical imaging, mass transit and recreation vehicles.

The facility is equipped with gelcoat spray booth, trimming booth, adhesive dispenser and online paint shop. It can produce 18000 parts per year. The LRTM and VARTM technology is best suited to produce large parts from 1sqmt to 5 sqmt within volumes demand up to 10,000 parts approx. annually with or with out painting and excellent surface finish.
